As I mentioned on my story page (found here), even though I had lost 27 pounds in just 39 days with the ‘My Fat Cure’ Homeotherapeutic HCG Oral Spray, I wanted to see what would happen if I kept going.
My goal was to try and get down to 10% body fat. Since one builds up a tolerance to the real HCG that is injected (the prescription kind), I wanted to see if the same thing happens on this Homeotherapeutic HCG as well.
Over the past few days, my Ketostix showed very low fat burning, and over the last 12 days, I only lost an additional 4.4 pounds. So, I’m throwing in the towel and going to Phase III. In other words, either my body isn’t going to lose much more (I’m at my ideal weight), or I’ve built up a tolerance to this stuff too.
Hard to say which it is. Dr. Simeons says when you reach your ideal weight, you will start to feel hungry and the weight will stop coming off. Well, I have started to feel A LITTLE hungry (I wasn’t hungry at all the entire time up until the past couple days), and obviously my fat burning has slowed way down. The good thing is, my Albustix still show NEGATIVE on the muscle loss.
I have had enough – it isn’t worth it to me to deprive myself any longer and I don’t think I’m going to lose much more in any case. I posted my final ‘before and after’ pics so you can see the ‘New Me’.
I ended up at 177.4 pounds (a total loss of 31.2 pounds over 50 days). I’m currently at 15% body fat. That’s considered ‘normal’ for a male, so maybe that’s the end of the line for me. Now it’s time to hit the gym!

ok well I’ve lost 3 lbs and it does include the first 2 days of phase 1. (the days that you eat lots of fat??) I began taking the drops on the 11th, and began the actual 500 cal diet the 13th. so this is the 9th day, 7th day of the actual eating plan.

HI Cait,
Well, that’s not great weight loss. What ‘drops’ are you taking? Most people that are taking homeopathic drops have to ‘up their dosage’ considerably before they start working, plus one batch may be less ‘potent’ than another with that manufacturer (see my FAQ about this here: Won’t Other Homeopathic HCG Work The Same?)
The cheating is going to hurt your progress in any case, but the product you’re using may not be effective, or you may simply have to take a lot more of it for it to start working.

ok…so I started this diet 9 days ago. I have been doing pretty good, but have cheated in very small ways like eating different vegetables, and adding little extras to my salads, and eating a little over 500 cal. So I have not seen very well results. I am not reading more about this and realize how important it is to follow it perfectly. Should I start over? Should I stop the HCG for 2 days, then begin again? I want to use my full phase 2 time, and now I have lost 9 days….what should I do?

Hi Cait,
You didn’t say how much weight you’ve lost over the 9 days. Also, does the 9 days include the 2 days of Phase I? Or is it 9 days of Phase II PLUS the 2 days of Phase I?
Yeah, cheating will slow/halt progress and I guess you’re learning that the hard way. Whether you should start over, though, depends on the answer to the above. Let me know.

I have been following several sites about the HCG Diet and am excited that there may be an alternative way to do this diet to the shots. I hope I get a shot at this as I need to lose about 60 pounds for health reasons and because I want it for my oun self esteem. I would love to be able to say, I am on Phase III ! Hurry and get that product up and running.
